Day One

Today was my first day of "work" - really I'm not officially working there yet. Today was more of a try-out. I trying to get a job working as a touch-up artist for an art wholesaler. They have paintings made in China and Korea which they then sell to commercial stores like Ethan Allen. Sometimes there is a big discrepancy between what it looks like and what it was supposed to look like. I would fix them up to look like they were meant to look. My first 'try-out' project has so far proved to be rather difficult but I am looking forward to start tackling it again. Sorry no pictures.

Outstanding

After many attempts to find a good blender, we finally got a Blendtec. So last night we tried it out with a peach-banana-orange smoothie. Mark's first response: "Outstanding!" It worked wonderfully and tasted delicious. (Thanks Ann for the peaches). We are very excited about our new blender.Sorry about the crappy pictures. Our camera struggles.

Football

What is it about football? Logically, I can't make sense of it, and how it effects so many people so dramatically. I don't follow seasons, just games that I actually watch, which are relatively few. But even if I'm watching a game between two teams I don't care about, I randomly (or not randomly?) pick one and am just as emotionally vested in the game...makes no sense. But I do enjoy it when I watch it, teams I don't know and all. and it is even more fun if it is your alma mater putting up a great game and beating Oklahoma. Go Cougs.

*So yes, these pictures are quite old (2007 Vegas Bowl), but they are the most recent ones I have; it's been a while since I actually went to a BYU game.

I am really excited for both of them. They will be great missionaries.

We are finally moved in and settled in our new apartment in Baytown.
