Two

I can't believe it has already been two years since we got married. They have been the best 2 years of my life. I love Mark so much and I love being married to him.
I have trying to slow down the last 2 years and replay some of my favorite memories, but that is hard to do for 2 whole years. We have moved 8 times! We both graduated from college. We have been to 4 foreign countries, and been to or driven though 21 states. We have been to weddings, games, reunions, birthdays, etc., even a ballet. We have been skiing, snowboarding, boating, rafting, biking, hiking, and sailing. But we also love to stay home and cook, build, laugh, dance, and talk together.
Happy Anniversary Mark, thanks for making me so happy.

Wave Crashers

We went to Los Cabos last week with my family. It was beautiful. Everyone else thought is was super hot but it was perfect weather for us. It was much cooler than Baytown. Here are just a few pictures.

Watching

Having a golf course and pond in the back yard provides ample objects of observation from the back windows. We are right on the tee so we get to analyze swings and watch reactions to shots.

We also have a lot of wildlife. There are lots of birds and ducks that hang around until the golfers scare them off. I am reaching back to my biology days and am trying to identify them. Above: a blue jay. This domestic goose (an Embden breed, I think) and Canadian Goose are inseparable. They are always following each other around.
I have no idea what kind of duck this is. We just call him one of the ugly ducks.

The Weekend

My dad and Kat drove all the way from Utah to come visit us (and bring us our car). It was so fun to have them. Besides putting them to work on the house, we had some fun and relaxation, too.
We went to Kemah Boardwalk. We ate fish for lunch while watching the aquarium fish swimming around.
Then we walked along the boardwalk and watched the pelican.Dad didn't enjoy the Boardwalk Bullet roller coaster as much as the rest of us as it jostled his head too much, but the rest of us enjoyed it.
We then had a wonderful dinner at Mark's parents house with the Cooks.
After church on Sunday, we explored the Baytown Nature Center and enjoyed the view and the breeze atop this mound. It was really pleasant.
Thanks again Dad and Kat for coming to Baytown. We had a great time.

Casualty

We had only one thing not make the move. But we expected it to die so we weren't very sad.
