Having a golf course and pond in the back yard provides ample objects of observation from the back windows. We are right on the tee so we get to analyze swings and watch reactions to shots.We also have a lot of wildlife. There are lots of birds and ducks that hang around until the golfers scare them off. I am reaching back to my biology days and am trying to identify them. Above: a blue jay.
This domestic goose (an Embden breed, I think) and Canadian Goose are inseparable. They are always following each other around.
I have no idea what kind of duck this is. We just call him one of the ugly ducks.
