It is a quote from Mosiah chapter 4 on serving the poor. the idea was that this is also one of the 5 pillars of islamic faith. I had a lot of people say that the red and blue made them think it was a politcal painting, while this was not how it was intended, I think it works that way too, because of what the arabic means.
The quote especially resonates with our experiences here in a land full of poverty. And yet the people are so beautiful and so good. Just like your painting.
